My name is Alejandra (but you can call me Ale) and I am a Latina wedding & lifestyle photographer based in Northern California
MY STORY
As I get older, I have realized life is too short to not pursue what you love. There is no timeline to follow, and everybody is on their own path. It wasn't until I graduated with my MBA that I realized that happiness comes from doing what you truly love and not what you think is the right thing to do is. What I love about photography is its ability to freeze time and the story behind it in that instance. It's one thing to take a picture, but it's another to allow your images to tell a story. I look back at pictures in different times in my life and I am grateful for the journey I am on, and how I am still evolving as a person. It lets us tell our story, evolve, and reflect.
WHAT INSPIRES ME?
Inspiration came to me the very first year I went to Michoacán, Mexico. Already an adult, I felt like visiting the land where my parents grew up filled a void in me. I felt at home. I instantly fell in love. The colors, traditions, landscape, and agriculture told me a story of how my parents grew up and immigrated to the US, and how that ultimately has shaped me, a first generation Latina, into the person I am today. Being surrounded by culture gave me a different perspective in life. Life is constantly changing and will always continue to change.; with change comes experience, growth, and reflection. The way photographs have a way of telling stories inspires me to capture people in different stages of their life. I am constantly being inspired by love, light, and life.
WHAT SETS ME APART
From the booking process, planning, session, and gallery delivery; my clients are always my priority. Each time I deliver a gallery, I make sure that I would be happy getting one like it. I strive to do the best that I can and take pride in my work. I base my business from personal experience, and I feel confident that I am giving my clients a high-quality service. Having been on the client side of the photography industry really helps me give my clients the best possible experience. Over the course of my photographer journey, I have invested in my equipment, knowledge, and myself to help tell your story the best that I can.
My approach
I believe in documenting love stories in an authentic, photo-journalism way. I am inclusive, honest, and creating true, real connections with my clients who value photography as an art is important to me. I love learning about my clients, their different cultures, and their own stories. I want to showcase your emotions and relationships in a modern and timeless way while making it an easy and fun experience for you. I would describe my editing style to be timeless, true to color with a touch of mood and warmth. Something that will never go out of style but yet provide you with all the emotions when you look back at them in the future. My approach is simply to capture intentional, meaningful, candid, and intimate photographs for you to cherish forever that show your emotions and tell your story.
